Hot Liquids II

My roommate, Ted, is all about hot liquids–coffee, tea, cider, soup–no matter how hot the beverage is, or how hot the weather.  Having a fall birthday, combined with the easy multiplier effect making soup and other tasty brewed items for a crowd makes the Hot Liquids party so fantastic.  Linsay, my other roommate and Ted’s wife, spearheaded the food preparation beginning about a week in advance. Ted and Gabriel rigged up an amazing audio setup to provide sound throughout the whole house for the Sweetbread Jim’s show.  Between the four of us, we threw a rad party.  Hosting a large party like this with food for upwards of 40 people is no easy task, and Linsay truly amazed with me with her planning skills. We are so glad the party was so well attended and everyone who came had such a great time.  Thanks to all the guests who came and had a blast with us to celebrate Ted’s birthday!

The menu was:

  • Black Bean Soup
  • Classic Tomato Soup
  • Potato Chowder
  • Carrot Ginger Puree
  • Baguettes
  • Ponche
